- 2: Communities creating climate ready places
- 4: Clyde Climate Forest
The GCV Green Network have created a new nature and climate friendly vision for the Glasgow City Region to create a better place for wildlife and the area’s 1.8 million residents. The Green Network highlights the work being done across the Region to restore degraded peatlands, plant trees, recreate and link up valuable grassland and wetland habitats for nature, and to create off-road walking and cycling routes for people. Initiatives to achieve these aims include the Clyde Climate Forest, Clyde Wetlands, Clyde Peatlands, Clyde Grasslands and Clyde Greenways.
The Green Network is a crucial part of the Region’s drive to address the twin climate and ecological crises and will make the Region a much more connected, resilient, liveable and sustainable place.
