Consultation response: National Planning Framework 4

Posted on 16 May 2022

Scotland’s fourth National Planning Framework (NPF4) is a long term plan looking to 2045 that will guide spatial development, set out national planning policies, designate national developments and highlight regional spatial priorities. Compared to the previous Framework, NPF4 will have increased status and be part of the statutory development plan, meaning that its policies will have a stronger role in day-to-day planning decision making.

Our response to the Scottish Government’s NPF4 consultation in March 2022 focused on the key issues relevant to climate adaptation in Glasgow City Region, highlighting alignment with the Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan, and where the Framework needs to be strengthened.
